Moving onto a new build

Selling, or keeping, a home you already own.

Moving onto a new build often means a sale that has to complete in step with the plot, or a plan to keep the current home. Porting an existing rate is not always allowed onto a new build, and it is not always the cheapest route. We compare a fresh application with what your current lender will actually do.

  • Timing the sale of your current home against the build
  • Porting compared with a new application, including where porting is refused
  • Keeping the current home, where the lender and the numbers allow it
  • Part interest-only only where the product and the loan-to-value allow it
